Caique Vidal and Batuque

When: Thu., Oct. 15, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: free
Global Brazil is the new humanities laboratory of Duke’s Franklin Humanities Institute. Focusing on the social movements, art and natural environment of Brazil, the center presents bahiano Caique Vidal and Batuque at Duke Coffeehouse for a night of dancing and percussion-heavy versions of Brazilian hits. Celebrating the Afro-Brazilian roots of samba drumming, the six-person ensemble should bring even the staunchest wallflower to the dance floor. —Amanda Black
