Bull City Food & Beer Experience

When: Sun., Feb. 24, 4-8 p.m. 2013
Price: $75-$125

The key to happiness can be elusive, but you can go a long way with good food, good drink and good music. The inaugural Bull City Food & Beer Experience, co-presented by Sam's Quik Shop and Tyler's Restaurant & Taproom, promises to bring together these three ingredients in an indoor food and beer festival featuring tasty samplings from 20 local restaurants and more than 50 local and national breweries, set against a backdrop of live music provided by Chapel Hill bluegrass trio Mipso. Admission gets you swag and unlimited samples of food and beer pairings, as well as access to talks by the owners of three craft breweries: Ken Grossman (Sierra Nevada), Kim Jordan (New Belgium-Fat Tire) and Dale Katechis (Oskar Blues). Ticket prices are a little steep, but proceeds benefit the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association. —Emma Miller
