Brother Moses, Borrowed Arts, Be The Moon

When: Wed., Aug. 5, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $5
“O Lord, I’m not very good with words,” Moses said—or so supposes Exodus 4:10—when God sent him back to Egypt to demand the release of the Israelites from slavery. “I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me.” Arkansas’ Brother Moses don’t have their namesake’s problem with eloquence, packing their songs with an Old Testament’s worth of words. Indeed, circumlocution is the band’s biggest asset; it buoys their otherwise humdrum indie rock. —Patrick Wall
