As a Brit, I'm not sure of the political stance of indyweek, but the lack of comment on this story suggests a little American embarrasssment. BP have deserved a good kicking (but then what about Transocean? - they were the 'landlord', BP merely the tenant), however, when it all comes to court, any half competent attorney is going to have a field day with the 'dead zone'. Rather ironic that your esteemed President's push for fossil fuel alternative, i.e. bio-ethanol, might turn out to be the killer for the Gulf rather than all that nasty oil!
