Brick Universe | Raleigh Convention Center | Arts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Sat., March 28 and Sun., March 29 2015

All the pieces of a fun family day click into place at the Brick Universe LEGO Convention, whether you're marveling at impressive creations in the Fan Zone, picking up building tips in the Challenge Zone or putting your skills to the test in the Building Zone. There are also displays by LEGO artist Jonathan Lopes, known for his urban buildings and life-size versions of cartoon characters, and master builder Jason Burik, whose creations include amazing replicas of Pittsburgh's PNC Park and Heinz Field. If all the bright colors and excited kids prove over-stimulating, take a breather in the reading area. But save some energy for the Bionicles area, where you can play with remote-controlled LEGO tanks. Remote-controlled LEGO tanks? Everything is awesome. 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m., $10.44–$15 (2 and under free), 500 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, 919-996-8500, Fields
