Breakers, The Color Exchange, Weird Pennies of Raleigh, Young Cardinals

When: Sat., Aug. 29, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $5
Two members of Boston’s Breakers have Raleigh ties. They return to the Oak City after the release of their self-titled EP, which stretches grooves under muted indie rock tones. They’ll be joined by a trio of local rock groups. The Color Exchange (formerly Clockwork Kids) released their first full-length record, Cubed, in April; Coldplay’s influence is evident in its falsetto melodies. The woozy Weird Pennies and arena-rock dreamers Young Cardinals join. —Justin Weber
