NIGHTLIGHT | THE CARRACK—As was announced during the recent Culture Mill launch party at Haw River Ballroom, France's Compagnie Marie Lenfant's residency with the Saxapahaw artist-support organization culminates in two nights of informal, collaborative performances with local artists, threading the seam between dance and music. The first night, April 17 at Nightlight in Chapel Hill, blends Lenfant's company with Culture Mill co-founder Tommy Noonan, whose Brother Brother premiered at the Carrack in December, and Eric Kuhn, the Durham multi-instrumentalist from dream-pop band Eric + Erica. On the second night, April 18 at the Carrack in Durham, the locals are dancer/musician Ginger Wagg and saxophone shaman Crowmeat Bob. Expect anarchic adventures in motion and sound when these compelling combinations improvise. 8 p.m., $7–$15 (suggested donation), Nightlight: 405 W. Rosemary St., Chapel Hill, 919-960-6101,; The Carrack: 111 W. Parrish St., Durham, 704-213-6666, —Brian Howe
