Naturalists & scientists conduct a 24-hr biological inventory of all plant & animal species at Piedmont Wildlife Center, an 80-acre parcel adjacent to New Hope Creek & surrounding NC Wildlife Resources Commission gamelands. Chris Goforth from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences hosts citizen science treks to look for butterflies, ladybugs, etc; other activities include an evening owl prowl, live animal programs & a photo contest. Begins 4 pm Fri, ends 4 pm Sat; see website for full schedule. Bandidos and Will & Pop's food trucks on-site 11 am-2 pm both days.
