Big Daddy Love, Dangermuffin

When: Fri., Aug. 12, 9 p.m. 2016
Price: $12
Big Daddy Love harnesses the electric drive of Southern rock, from the duel Stratocaster players on down, while maintaining a rough-hewn, rustic sensibility through elements of country, bluegrass, and swing. The band has dubbed its hybrid “Appalachian rock,” and whether cranking out spirited originals or covers of classics like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the band crackles with energy and precision playing. Openers Dangermuffin blend jam-band, Americana, and folk elements. —David Klein
