Re: “RIP Paul Luebke, a Progressive Icon

Missed Dr. LUEBKE today at UNC. I know he would have introduced the President of the United States as they together campaigned for the people of NC. He taught me a lot about NC politics and most importantly how to think like a sociologist about the economy and politics. I did not have a lot of time with him, we missed meeting before '86 and I didn't really meet him until I began a second MA in Sociology. Then I only had 5 weeks in seminar with him, but we read his book. So happy to hear Theo is carrying on in his father's footsteps, so to speak. May all his family and loved ones know his legacy will be remembered and his contribution to the public won't be forgotten.
