Imari Oliver you hit the nail on the head with what you said. I also grew up in Mt. Olive right across from the Pickle Plant and this type of ignorance and racism has ALWAYS been there. Those people in this article who spew that kind of racial be will be the first to say this and that about people, but if you try to challenge their views or tell them what they are saying is wrong, it's as if they are all of a sudden deaf and dumb!!! I told myself if I ever got out of Wayne County, Lord willing I would never be back. Thankfully, that has been the case, except to visit family who still lives in that "black hole!!"
