Action/Adventure

A hit at this year's Sundance Film Festival, this chaotic, fiercely personal film stars writer/ director Evan Glodell as an aw-shucks, Mad Max-loving, flamethrower-building guy who goes down a rabbit hole of sadness and despair, literally scorching the earth in vengeful anger when his free-spirited wild child of a girlfriend breaks his heart. This film is so intent on being an antagonistic, unpleasant experience, exposing you to the violent scorn that shows up once a would-be alpha male gets his heart stomped, it's difficult to recommend it even to those poor, forlorn bastards who just got dumped and who could appreciate the story. Basically, Bellflower is a movie for those who thought (500) Days of Summer was some pussy-ass bullshit.
