Beer Geek Winter Cage Match 

On two consecutive nights next week, Dec. 8-9, Jujube in Chapel Hill and Dos Perros in Durham are matching the same seasonal craft beers with five courses selected by the restaurants. Both dinners cost $42 plus tax and tip. Call for reservations.

Victory Moonglow Weizenbach Shrimp toast and sesame-fried plantains with sweet chili sauce Chicharrones y "chicharrones" con nopales (Braise pork cracklings and cactus with crispy wheat chips)
Highland Cold Mountain Winter Ale Seared scallop with cashews and black vinegar caramel Almendrado de camarones (Shrimp in almond sauce)
Rogue Mogul Madness Kung Pao deconstructed Pierna de puerco en adobado (Roasted pork leg with adobo sauce)
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout Black soy and shaoxing braised beef with turnip cake Pato en mole negro (Roasted duck with black mole)
Bell's Special Cream Stout Five-spice ice cream with chocolate sauce Camotes con tamarindo (Candied sweet potatoes with tamarind syrup and pumpkin seed brittle)
