Drama, Musical

Director Benson Lee takes his documentary Planet B-Boy and attempts to turn it into a feature film, but forgets a few important steps along the way; namely develop characters that viewers give two craps about. Featuring a script so filled with clichés and exposition you will be left yearning for the nuances found in a Step Up sequel, the film is lifted a bit by surprising turns by Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost) and Josh Peck. In the end we are left to decide what the lowest point of the film is: the endless Sony products; the casting of Chris Brown as a lovable hothead, or the squeals of delight sure to come from some audience members when said thug appears.
