Re: “Chicken Bridge Bakery Feeds Bodies and Minds with Baked-In Messages of Resistance and Solidarity

As for the previous post, please explain the difference between "appropriating" and celebrating/appreciating different cultures.

Re: “

This happens in all cities. Nothing new, even gentrification. You have to look at two things: cities that are run by Democrats and the public school system. If schools started teaching basics again, vs. how to be LGBT compliant, then perhaps students will be able to acquire gainful employment.

Here in the South, if you don't provide Brunswick Stew, you are not considered a genuine BBQ joint. You can add cornbread to that.

Re: “The Durham City Council Rejects a Controversial North Durham Rezoning Request

We'll miss Eddie Davis, one of the few, if any left, with sense on that City Council.

Wish they had a "Best Cocktail" category. The area is starting to become popular with craft cocktails, not just beer.

Re: “Trump’s New USDA Pick Is Making It Harder for N.C. Farmers to Survive

While I hate to see local/small farmers get hurt, the problem that could eliminate it would be to stop the grants for housing, internet, businesses, etc. Appears, once again, the government has used $$ to overreach into areas that are not directly related to the original goal. Mis-appropriation of government grants (taxpayers' $$) is usually the culprit. Redirecting funds back to the farmers would probably keep this from happening.
