Aurora Muscialis

When: Sun., Jan. 24, 3 p.m. 2016
Price: $12-$14
Consisting of members of the North Carolina Symphony, Aurora Musicalis presents trios by Brahms and Carl Frühling. Brahms considered his second piano trio, written between 1880 and 1882, to be one of the finest works in the form. Much of Frülhing’s music was suppressed or destroyed by the Nazis, but his 1925 clarinet trio is a gem. —Dan Ruccia
