Asia | Memorial Auditorium | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Tue., Aug. 17, 8 p.m. 2010
Price: $37
Well, at least you can say more nice things about the continent than the band. The reunited original lineup of Asia—featuring former members of Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, King Crimson and The Buggles—has released as many albums since reforming in 2006 as they did initially (two, exactly), stacked around more than a half-dozen studio releases with different lineups in the intervening 25 years. Their polished prog-pop is but a watery echo of the inspired art rock that characterized the members' prior bands. Pay $37 at 8 p.m., or simply have a Raleigh Rickshaw take you on a long, meandering trip for the same price. —Chris Parker
