ArtsCenter Honors

When: Wed., Oct. 19, 7:30 p.m. 2011
Price: $35

When the Battlefield Band got together more than 40 years ago, they surely did not imagine that their repertoire of old Scottish songs and lithe self-penned gems would take them around the world. In 1975, the group played the very first public concert organized by The ArtsCenter. Now, 36 years later, they're back to help celebrate a legacy of arts entertainment and education at the venue's "ArtsCenter Honors" celebration. One of the region's top acoustic acts, the Red Clay Ramblers also will be on hand, playing a round of old-time music that, like the ArtsCenter, never seems to go out of style. —Ashley Melzer
