Tom Stoppard's 1993 drama is as haunting as it is theatrically daunting. As present-day researchers work on two separate literary and historical riddles in a famous country house in England, we watch as the events they think they're investigating unfold, in alternating scenes set in the same room, 180 years before. The resulting meditation on causality, entropy and the human heart asks one question in particular: Does everything lost eventually turn up again? Paul Frellick directs a cast including Ryan Brock, Nicole Gabriel, Dorothy Recasner Brown and Eric Carl. —Byron Woods
