Arbor Labor Union (Back Room)

When: Sun., May 15, 8:30 p.m. 2016
Price: $10
Once known as Pinecones, the excellent new Sub Pop signees of Arbor Labor Union are a post-punk quartet from Georgia. The band’s musical lineage traces to the glory days of Touch & Go’s heavies, but there’s a concession to accessibility in their songs, an appreciation for hooks that seems prone to pull more people in than it puts off. If you’ve ever been engrossed in the erudite, electric reflections of Protomartyr or Ought, check Arbor Labor Union. —Grayson Haver Currin
