Anthony Raneri, What's Eating Gilbert, Allison Weiss (Back Room)

When: Tue., July 14, 7:30 p.m. 2015
Price: $12-$15
Anthony Raneri has spent the past 15 years fronting the moody and punchy pop-punk band Bayside. By the Chris Carrabba Corollary, then, he must maintain an active singer-songwriter side project. (See also: Pryor, Matt; Conley, Chris.) Raneri’s solo efforts dodder among dour electro-folk, steel-flecked country and fingerpicked folk, but he can’t seem to divorce himself fully from the emo underpinnings of his main gig. If you’re a Bayside fan, that’s probably a plus. —Patrick Wall
