Great story, Bob. Back from my town council days, I've always had a mixed opinion about the wisdom of the "triangle." There are clearly important issues where regional collaboration would be a plus, but it looks like self-interest always trumps everything else. Somewhere along the way I decided that "small is beautiful" and stopped looking for large solutions to large problems. This hit home most for me around what I call "factory schooling" versus small schools. The latter, assuming teacher quality is the same, have much more to offer, in my view, by offering less. I'd love to read a story about "small."
