I agree that his music can be beautiful + uncomfortable. But, I don't quite see how "The Night Josh Tillman Came to Our Apartment" could be considered misogynistic; his contempt is focused on one type of lover, and not women in general. I think his self-loathing is what's at the core of this song and most of his music.

Fear Fun was about his frivolous hipster youth. Honeybear is an album about love and marriage. I sincerely hope his next one is about fatherhood, and maybe it'll be a tad less cynical.

Got to agree that Lilly's is a big omission here -- their crust and toppings are as good as any place I've been in the Triangle, and their specialty pies are amazing.

Excellent point overall, especially in the context of Hopscotch. I think it's hard for the human brain to resist classification, so maybe we have to learn to rely on our personal genre definitions for our own personal use and leave it at that.
