I recently moved to this area and I was surprised with the pathetic state of public transportation in this region. Forget about the buses/trains, lots of roads do not have pedestrian pathways. Why have the city planners made it so difficult for people here to live without car? Lethargy? Lack of foresight? Oil lobby?
