Alan McBride is Centre Coordinator at the WAVE Trauma Centre in Belfast, sits on the Board of Healing Through Remembering, and is chair of the HTR initiative on developing a Living Memorial Museum to the ‘Troubles’. He has served as a Commissioner with the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission since September 2011 and has a special interest on issues relating with transitional justice. McBride will discuss his own journey through the ‘Troubles’, the optimism that followed the signing of the Good Friday accords, and the proposed Bill of Rights.
