CAROLINA THEATRE—Enter the world of young Aladdin, where camels and caravans abound, and genies float from magic lamps at a rub. Presented by Legacy Repertory Company, which nurtures developing artists vying for professional careers and emphasizes diversity, this ballet wows with its choreography, vibrant set design, aerial dance and high theatricality. In addition to the regular showings, the company provides free performances for people with disabilities (visit for details). So you can sit back, relax and know that this company cares about more than just perfecting its pirouettes—though that's also a high priority. 2 and 6 p.m., $12–$23, 309 W. Morgan St., Durham, 919-560-3030, —Zoë Gonzales
