Afroman | Brewery | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Thu., Oct. 7, 7 p.m. 2010

He's the court jester of weed, a bawdy, chronic-loving clown who raps and sings but possesses more talent than his one-hit-wonder status suggests. Of course, Afroman probably wouldn't have gotten this far if not for his millennial ode to marijuana-induced languor, "Because I Got High." His label deal with Universal went up in smoke shortly thereafter, and he's been flogging his own material ever since on his appropriately named Hungry Hustler label. His prolific output begs for an editor—any surprise?—but despite a relentless emphasis on sex and pot, he makes up for it with plenty of "oh, no he didn't!" moments. —Chris Parker
