Re: “How UNC professor Lee Weisert turns 10,000 tiny bubbles into hours of sound.

Hello Internet, first time commenter. Thank you RobR, you’ve driven me into the gutter… I hope I’m not getting trolled here. Given that you registered your account today, like myself, to comment on this article maybe I’m the idiot here. Anyway, I’m sure most people are thinking the same thing I’m thinking, but I couldn’t help but say something.

No art is undeserving of criticism, but your brash and presumptive dismissal of of the piece via faceless internet commentary is frankly pretty lame and cowardly. Your ideas are certainly legitimate but from only just reading the article I don’t think we know enough about the piece or how it works to make such a blunt judgement. Since you know about Arduino boards, perhaps the installation would be right up your alley. At the very least it’s a unique event you might like to check out, and maybe learn something interesting from.

While you’re at it, lets see some of your work! Would love to know what you’ve been working on other than trolling comments on websites about art you’ve never seen. Now I’ll go back to lurking because life’s too short for this nonsense.
