Aaron Neville

When: Fri., Sept. 23, 8 p.m. 2016
Price: $10-$62
A half-century ago, Aaron Neville’s “Tell It Like It Is” introduced most of America to a voice one writer likened to that of “a battered angel.” Neville rose to a new level of acclaim in the late eighties, when he dueted with Linda Ronstadt and toured with Sting and Peter Gabriel to benefit Amnesty International. He has remained a steadfast advocate for justice in his beleaguered home city of New Orleans. This intimate show features stripped-down songs and stories. —David Klein
