Re: “Violent crime rate up 36 percent in Durham

Since 2011, Property Tax for the City's Expenditures for "Public Safety" have gone from 42% to 48%. With all the financial support property owners contribute to "Public Safety", why can't the City clean up it's act? Where is this money going? Nearly half of our City Property Tax is for "Public Safety" and all Bell and Lopez can offer is a 'discussion of the issues'? The City Management takes too much for granted and a lot of us have had enough!
