Tofu burgers might be a healthier alternative, but I doubt Char-Grill's going to sell them anytime soon.

Comedy pays bills. Comedy brings people in the door. I think exposing theatre to people who have never seen theatre, is as important as pandering to the artistic purists.

I take exception to referring to the works of Stoppard, Frayn, Mamet, or any of the Reduced scripts as low brow.

As for programming, Theatre in the Park's Main stage shows have always been fairly balanced between comedy and drama.
