Re: “Taylor gathers another $2K in race against Hill

After reading another newspaper and listening to Taylor talk it is clear that Mr. Taylor is committed to his efforts to firing personnel of the Durham Sheriffs Office. Interesting this is coming from a man who does not live in Durham and pays no taxes here. Owns 5 cars and pays all his taxes to Wake County for each of them. There has been no activity in his alledged apartment on University Dr since his Temporary lease which is set to expire in November. This in itself shows he has no confidence in his own campaign that he will even be here. Since he is living in Wake County no need to have a pemanent address in Durham. This clown is slapping the voters in the face. Then he is telling others GOD asked him to run? Not true! God would have told him he was living in Virginia and that he would need to move to Durham one year prior to filing.

Re: “Hill's backers take Taylor's words out of context? See original source.

I'm concerned with the lack of reportive investigation completed by the reporter of the Roy Taylor articles. With many avenues available to check the credibility of Mr. Taylor it does seem that the Indy has taken him soley on his word. It does appear that the Indy will be endorsing Taylor not for his experience but his ability to manipulate the reporter. Has Mr. Taylor given the Indy permission to check his personnel files? Have they really tried to see them? i have heard all about his womanizing on and off duty,Dothea Dix would be a great place to start. Were there any actions that caused trauma to an unsuspecting family with non-duty related decisions. A call to someone in the Clayton area may shed the light needed? Blue lights on a personal motorcycle being used for night time stops off duty in a small town with no authorization to do so,Another location of women in and out of the police station all hours of the night? Rumors? maybe so but usually where there is smoke you will find fire. Not making accusations just asking the question, questions a good, fair and balanced reporter could get the answer to. My next question is do you know any fair and balanced reporter within the Indy? I hope so, because my advertising in this paper may end very soon with the way Indy is handleing Durham Sheriff race.

Re: “Durham Sheriff Worth Hill set to win fifth term, despite several scandals under his watch

In this article what was not printed was the fact the independent did not ask Roy to verify or validate his background or credible service to any law enforcement agencey. They took him on his word. Right now his word means nothing. He said he was asked to keep quiet on unethical behavior, was it his own? If it wasn't his own than why have we not heard him screaming it from the mountain top if he is so honorable and even turned his son in for a crime. A background can easily be done with a signed waiver from him. Has the Indy asked for that waiver, I think not. It also appears Roy does not hang his hat in any one place too long? Maybe that has been his problem in the other jobs, Roy doesn't have a career he has jobs. There is no stability in a man who only wants to be the boss everywhere he goes. The voter has all the answers here in this article. All you have to do is put it together like a puzzle. The pieces fit rather nicely as it relates to Taylor. He is even talking about adding programs to the Sheriffs Office that are already in place. Nice research Roy! The Sheriff makes no excuses for what his employees may or may not have done. He didn't have to give any interview to the INDY, but chose to anyway. The Sheriff does not run from issues the way Taylor has been running from issues over his entire career. Doing an interview he gave Taylor some press time. Taylor should thank the Sheriff and go on with his job search!

Re: “BREAKING: Taylor withdraws from Durham sheriff's race on technicality

Once again Roy Taylor has represented himself as a Durham citizen for 12 months prior to filing date. It was clear right out of the gate he never intended to live in Durham. Sure after he filed he showed a ghost address once it was shown he filed that he lived on Glover Street AND GAVE THE WRONG NUMERICS. Glover Raod is not a street by word definition it is a road. Not really living there it could cause confusion to Roy. It is listed as a paint business. Roy...Here's your sign! There are criminal charges for committing a fraud. This was clearly a fraud on the behalf of Roy Taylor who thinks we the citizens of Durham are to stupid to know better. If Roy does not resspect himself and is willing to life and create a story so easy what else will he do as soon as our heads are turned?
