Re: “The Tea Party

let's not forget that everyone who claims immigrants are "illegals" (convenient shorthand to make sure you don't view them as people) truly believe they aren't being racist (nor hypocritical...i wonder how many of these folks are descended from immigrants who came here from europe..oh wait, that's all of us, we're all immigrants aren't we?). and i find it amusing how someone can quote the phrase about infantile sociopathic rage from these morons and yet simply sit there and call it 'unbiased' without the sentence itself really sink in. the point is a mile wide, yet people miss it.

i'm a journalist, ps. this is an editorial. it doesn't have to be unbiased dumbasses.

Re: “The Tea Party

dumbfounded does a good job of proving the point of this article - the seething, anti-intellectual, barking hate of the conservative right. so shocked he trotted out Marxism. Enjoy your Glenn Beck action figure, moron, and never question anything you're told.

Long live the *sickness* that is liberalism, and all the independent thought and intelligent answers to hate it provides. We welcome those with brains and a spine to our side, which our nation was founded on.

Yes, you've proved idiots like you are quite rabid. And quite unintelligent. Well done, sir.

Re: “The Tea Party

No, let's REALLY sum up:

1. Opposition to the current regime isn't sedition and treason. But threatening violence as a tantrumy answer when one doesn't get their way is. Sorry.

2. Yes, they have proved themselves as racist, anti-intellectual xenophobes. Also, sheep with no capacity for independent, intellectual thought, eager to feast on any misinformation Fox News tosses at them without once questioning the logic of things they misunderstand and continue to parrot.

3. There's extremists on any side. But you didn't see many hard lefties advocating violence as a solution when Bush was president. And I think there'd be much more call to it then, considering he did get us into a war on the flimsiest of evidence, not even mentioning the crimes against the environment he's committed. Yet somehow it's okay to be outwardly racist and threatening violence now? Let's be honest here. Do you think any of this Birther nonsense would be going on without some racism behind it? When's the last time anyone questioned a white person's birth origin?

There ya go. Any more brain-busters?

Re: “The guide to the week's concerts

i've never met grayson, sure we have mutual friends but i've definitely never met him let alone bought a drink for the dude. but two bands i've been in now have always gotten decent attention from the Indy. So where's the cronyism there? I think all you bitter people maybe need to work hard on tailoring your sound/making it more interesting if you want to be noticed by The Indy and other press in the area. But also, and absolutely no disrespect to the Indy at all, but who cares if you're given attention by them? Does it matter what they think? Does it change why you love to play music? Maybe priorities need re-evaluating. If the Indy picks a show I like or writes it up, cool, I'm happy. But I sure don't feel like a local music failure if they don't. It doesn't hurt how I feel about the show one bit. Stop trolling.
