Re: “Let Bush violate First Amendment all he wants

Apparently Stuart Greenburg hasn't read or understand The U. S. Constitution. It does not exclude one person including the President from abiding by its provisions. In fact, it clearly defines limits of power of all three branches and also states that war can only be declared by consent of Congress. Had President Bush listened to and heeded the advice of William Clark and other experts who had much critical information, nineteen thugs with box cutters could not have literally brought this nation temporararily to its knees. We were not ever attacked by a nation and yet this president stepped far outside his presidential powers by starting a war with a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11. Incredibly, to demonstrate Greenburgs' flawed thinking, he STILL actually thinks that there were WMD's in Iraq! The rules of the Geneva Convention should never have been breached as they have by this corrupt administration. Those rules were well thought out by brilliant men who understood that POW's have human rights regardless of circumstances. There is no place in a democratic nation or the free world for vigilante acts. The practices that Greenburg suggests not only erode The Constitution bit by bit and ultimately would lead to anarchy. Mr. Greenburg, I have some suggestions for you: Turn off the radio-Nazis where you apparently get your "facts." Read the Constitution and the Geneva Convention Rules and make an honest attempt to try to understand them. That's probably asking for and expecting too much. Unlike you and people like you, I believe the Constitutional is a document that should be held in the highest esteem and not scoffed at for the whim of a proven incompetant president who hasn't done a single good thing for this country. Sincerely, Chris David Raleigh, N. C.
