Re: “Raleigh bar advertises with offensive language

After seeing the reporting on this on WRAL, after reading the article on the Independent, and looking at the other websites listed in the article and the resulting comments I really think this is very over blown. Granted, I'm probably older than most of the Independent readers, but has Dr. Ho (or anyone offended by this) ever watch, oh, I don't know...All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Living Color, Dave Chappell, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Office, Saturday Night Live or any comedian live? It's time we all get over this hyper-sensitivity about stuff like this. If you don't like something, don't support it. Whether that is by not watching a certain TV show, listening to a particular radio show or frequenting a Bar. I would also like to agree with one of the other comments...The Goat does have one of the most diverse crowds in Raleigh. It brings in blue collar crowd early, a younger professional group on their way out (or stopping back in on the way home) and finishes up most night with a young college crowd. If you don't believe it, stop in any day of the week. Go on Sunday for "Mystery Beer" night. You'll have a blast and won't be subjected to a white only Frat crowd like most bars in Raleigh.
