Re: “Bennett Place State Historic Site

Bennett Place is a great place in history. It is where the largest surrender of the Civil War took place in April 1865. Although Appomattox Courthouse gets most of the noteriety for the end of the Civil War, this iste is equally important if not more. The site has a terrific video called "Dawn of Peace" and the Bennett Farm has been well reconstructed. Worth visiting if you're ever passing through Durham.
