Re: “Only military guys can understand

And before you pick a part the grammar and the spelling in the previous post it was done with speech to text. Thats just in case those people who love to pick a part peoples typing in grammar want to chime in.

Re: “Only military guys can understand

First of all you have ridiculously over thought this movie and over.analyzied it. Was it a good movie no. Was it a well directed movie no. However your use of the only a military guy would understand shows me that you are not one. I was not in Vietnam I served in the military well after that as Im sure you were not. I cannot say that I agree with the kernel executing the radio operator after having him in custody in him being unarmed and but I also cant say that I dont agree with it and neither can you because neither of us have been put in that situation. Would it be an unfortunate thing had it actually occurred which it likely did. However if it saved the lives of United States Marines then that is whats important. As far as your depiction or analysis of what happened in the movie in Yemen I dont see where you find any of it ridiculous. I also see in your analysis that you understand nothing about Marines and or other soldiers who spend their entire life in defense of our country. It is not ludicrous that the men went to the roof nor is it ludicrous that they went to get the flag. And to say that the kernel simply said waste the motherfuckers is inaccurate. Though he did say that he gave explicit orders right before that to engage hostile targets. It clearly shows that 90% of that crowd including women children and old people were firing a continuous barrage from a multitude of handguns, automatic and semi automatic weapons. His statement to waste them came after the order to engage hostile targets. And his statement to waste them was directed at wasting hostile targets not at wasting unarmed innocent women and children. In a situation like that you dont fail to act because one out of every 20 or 30 hostiles is innocent. Also the simple fact that they were in that crowd with the majority being armed and firing means that they are not innocent or at the very least do not get the luxury of being considered or treated as innocent. I agree completely that it was a terrible movie and was terribly directed and written. However I disagree with the rest of your analysis about the content. Where are you say only a military guy would understand and I agree and say if you are not a military person or not a soldier yo I agree completely that it was a terrible movie and was terribly directed and written. However I disagree with the rest of your analysis about the content. Also your comment about the movie suggesting that only military guys are real man is a little absurd. Im really not sure where you get that in any of the content of this movie unless it just has something to do with your own inadequacies. The bottom line is it is a movie meant to entertain not a documentary meant to educate is on real events. What is it stupid yes did it win Academy Awards know did somebody put a gun to your head and force you to watch the movie probably not. in closing all I can say is try to show a little respect for the men and women who have dedicated their lives in defense of your freedoms and this nation .
