Re: “Kipos Greek Taverna

We are a Greek family from Dallas who know good Greek food when we see it and are accustomed to home cooking. Kipos was the best. Period. Just blown away by the quality of the food, the hospitality, & warmth of the atmosphere of the place. Please go, you will not be disappointed! 10/10. :)

Re: “Ten Thousand Villages

Ten Thousand Villages hasn't been at that location in years. That's a yoga studio now.

Re: “Geer Street Garden

One of my favorite spots. I always take family and friends when they visit from out of town cause the food's great and the atmosphere always reminds me of what I love about Durham! Summer or winter, the temp always works out back and the garden is alive with delicious Durhamness!

Re: “Jill Flink Fine Art

The best place for picture framing in Raleigh. I found out that they had moved from North Hills in 2016. Their new address is 3015 Barrow Drive, Raleigh, NC 27616, telephone 919-787-7691. They always deliver top quality work. I have always been thrilled with the work they have done for me.

Re: “Chapel Hill Farmers Market

This is a small but growing market with plenty of easy free parking and a wide selection of locally grown and made products, plus things not seen at other markets like Local Seafood, Mystery Brewing, Loaf Bakery. Theres always lots of eggs, and the tomato festival in July is a lot of fun. SNAP/EBT welcome, and the Tues. Market sometimes triples the fresh Bucks!

Re: “UNC Campus: Wilson Special Collections Library

This electrifying exhibition includes an audio guide and labels that illuminate the fascinating world of Mary Shelley and Frankenstein. Curated by UNC students and organized by excellent faculty and specialists at the university, this collection is a must-see for lovers of literature, science, and history.

Re: “Piedmont Restaurant

Don't waste your $$ here. Horrible service, mediocre food. From what we heard - kitchen turnover is the issue due to poor restaurant management...

Re: “Piedmont Restaurant

I don't want to give this place any stars. We were just there this past weekend and the service was terrible. Over 2 hours to get our food - no apologies from anyone. Since then we found out the chef, pastry chef and chef de cuisine all left at the same time due to the unprofessional way the restaurant is managed. We also heard from one of the servers that night that this was the 3rd chef since February.
I won't go into all the issues we had with our service - but when we contacted the manager - she showed absolutely no concern and even brushed off our concerns with snark and poor customer care.
I do not recommend and will not be recommending ever again.

Re: “Cherry Pie

Locally owned erotic gift store/smoke shop & winner of the Indyweek Best of the Triangle award, Cherry Pie, got raided on May 17th for poss w intent to sell/manufacture/deliver synthetic marijuana. I have copies of the search warrants/court docs if interested. They arrested the manager and the employees that were caught selling it and charged them with that, possession & maintaining a dwelling for a cs. Facing up to 30 years in prison.

Re: “The Refectory Cafe

The Refectory is no longer on the Duke Campus. Their new, permanent location is on Chapel Hill Blvd, and yes they are open for dinner at night.

Their vast selections of local, organic, vegan, and sustainable fish and meat offerings are outstanding. This place is a treasure. I adore going there for a long, leisurely Sunday brunch, or bringing out of town guests, to pampered with table service at night.

And the desserts are incredible. A true Durham treasure.

Re: “Blu Seafood & Bar

Food was good. Service was extremely poor last night. Server had to be reminded too many times to bring a straw, more water and rolls. Often she failed to comply. Dinners were served to our party of six but brought only five correctly. The sixth was served after all of the party had finished their entrees. Another server said he would speak to the manager and make it right. Bill came with no adjustments. I spoke to the manager and he said they would do nothing. When I explained I was served after everyone else was finished he complied and took off a measly $5. Terrible service and management! 20 % tip placed on bill for such awful service is ridiculous!
