Re: “Thank You Scientist, Bent Knee, Kiss the Curse

I've gone to about 20 or 30 concerts a year for the past five years and this was by far one of the most special. I have never seen two bands love and support each other like Bent Knee and Thank You Scientist. The affection was contagious and the unusual stage presence each band brought was refreshing and engaging. The music was beautiful and haunting; depressing and danceable, masterfully crafted and sincere. I hope they both come back.

Re: “A Piece of My Heart

I found "A piece of my heart" to be an intense look at the lives of a diverse group of incredible women. The time spend was very enjoyable although it left me with a new found concern for all the Vets that return from serving on our behalf. I was amazed and spellbound by the intensity performances and the creativity on the stage. I would highly recommend that one put this play on your list of activities in May.

Re: “REVIVAL

That was a very carefully phrased review, using the words "theatrical work" and not the word "play", or story, narrative, drama, arc, characters, etc. Minimalist to the extreme, it ended up being nothing more than excerpts from a church service. I suppose it could have been a revelation to someone who had never been in church before, but except for some half heard rap, I might as well have gone to service. At least I'd have saved $25. I've seen Ward Co. previously and been impressed; not this time. Likewise, the first purpose of a review is to give you an idea of what you will be seeing and if you want to; not so much.

Re: “Submerged

Hey Indy, great article but can we reference the other artists included within the show ? Remember that whole " little recognition within the local art community".

Re: “Crow Hollar, DethCadence, Hyper Vyper

Premitive Ways Booking presents: Monday's Metal Madness!!! @ The Pour House in Raleigh, NC.

First on the stage is:
Hyper Vyper - A band of teens ready to explode with the talent learned from their parents old record collections. This band is tight, featuring Tristin Urban as lead guitarist and frontman for the band. They will be kicking out some originals as well as tunes from Metallica, Megadeth and more!

Second on the stage is:
DethCadence - NC's most raved about upcoming powerful progressive rock/metal band, exploring the boundaries touring the states performing songs from their all original upcoming album "HellaCreative", and that it is! The band was originally founded by their producer, writer and guitarist from the band, Trey Richardson of Metal-Ward Entertainment, LLC. Raleigh's top male vocalist Jeff Ivey is fronting this band and strutting his stuff on stage, giving the band a sound thats said to be "Powerful" and "Totally new".

Third on the stage is:
Crow Hollar - From Morganton, NC they are bringing some doomy, sludgey outfit of young metal musicians who strive for originality and pushes some heavy riffs your way. With the band members ages ranging from 18 to 22, like Hyper Vyper's 16 to 21 age range, there is much to be performed from these young lads!
