50 Shades! The Musical

When: April 2-6 2013
Price: $28-45

Rally the book club and dig out your silver pleasure balls—50 Shades!, a new musical parody of E.L. James' smutty trilogy of S&M mommy literotica, is coming to Raleigh. Created by musical sketch comedy group Baby Loves Candy, the show gives seductive millionaire Christian Grey a pot belly and features original songs such as "I Don't Make Love, I F#*!" and "There's a Hole Inside of Me." Co-creator Al Samuels tells us that the show, which is both a spoof and a celebration of the 50 Shades series, is not just for those who have read the books. He also warns us, "You will see things you have never seen before." (Look for our interview with Samuels online on our Artery blog.) —Emma Miller
