Finally, with the release of the new film 300: Rise of an Empire, we can finally point toward a film that would actually be better with Zack Snyder (director of 300) behind the camera, as Noam Murro (Smart People) is given the chance to direct his first action film and proceeds to drop the ball. In this second chapter of the quasi-historical tale, Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton of TV's Strike Back) leads his forces against the Persian naval might, captained by vengeful commander Artemisia (Casino Royale's Eva Green). Prepare to shed a tear at the thought that this is the best role that the fiercely talented Green can find in Hollywood. She takes control of the screen from the moment she first appears, and then manages to make every actor around her look like an amateur.
