She'll play Moore Square Park July 11. I'd make the requisite pun about loving rock 'n' roll here, but Deep South's e-mail blast beat me to it: "I Love Rock N' Roll! Joan Jett Confirmed!"
Still holding out for OMC!

Joan Jett is hot and thank you for having her in Raleigh. Her music has stood the test of time and she has rocked the world in a way that only men had done prior to her breakthough in 1981. Everyone knows "I Love RnR ",but amongst the best music was the songs we rarely hear on the radio. The grammy nominated "I hate myself for loving you" still tweaks me. Sure she has had multiple hits, but she is also an album artist who has sold millions of albums inspite of detractors, who resented her methods of breaking certain barriers. Her newer songs will get your attention with her blantant need to get sweaty. Yet, her heart is always shared beyond the sexuality. "Do ya wanna Touch" from the most awesome 1981 Rock/Punk album BAD REPUTATION is still one of my favorite songs ever, ever, ever. Joan Jett was way ahead of her time and is still very innovative! If anyone doubts, visit www.joanjett.com and enjoy yourself. may i say thank you again for bringing her to Raleigh! Craig
I've seen Joan a number of times and she always rocks out. I don't like fighting the crowd at Moore Square, but I will be there for this show, along with my 23 year old niece, who I am trying to turn on to the multi-faceted nature of rock.
