Never mind Kenny Rogers, here's Morrissey

The Durham Performing Arts Center announced today that Morrissey will play March 11, 2009.

Short notice to get your money together, though: Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 19, at 10 a.m., at the DPAC box office, by telephone, on its Web site and at Ticketmaster outlets.

Prices are a reasonable $25-$42. This should sell out fast.

Morrissey’s “Tour of Refusal” Hits DPAC on March 11, 09

 

December 15, 08 (Durham, NC)- Morrissey will begin the US leg of his world tour in support of his new album, “Years of Refusal”, this February. He will be playing at Durham Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Each of Morrissey’s tours is a singular experience with iconic staging and a faultless setlist. Morrissey will be backed by his longtime band including Boz Boorer, Jesse Tobias, Matt Walker and Solomon Walker.

 

Morrissey’s influence is felt worldwide through the countless artists that cite him as their primary inspiration. His stellar 20-year solo career has produced countless UK Top 10 hits and a series of Billboard Top 20 albums including the popular “Vauxhall and I” that contains the hit single “The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get.”

 

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 19 at 10am through the venue box office at 919-680-ARTS (2787) and online at DPACnc.com <http://www.DPACnc.com> .  Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster.com and area Ticketmaster outlets including Macy’s and Lowes Food.
