Just what we need: another carousing, boozing, lying social climber in the Oval Office. Rolling Stone has a jaw-dropping, indepth profile of John McCain--the make-believe maverick. An astonishing accumulation of the facts, plus extensive sourcing and money quotes from McCain's former war colleagues and Republican cohorts, none of whom, it seems can stand the petulant, plane-ditching hothead. Here's one of many examples from the article:
...during another debate over servicemen missing in action, an elderly mother of an MIA soldier rolled up to McCain in her wheelchair to speak to him about her son's case. According to witnesses, McCain grew enraged, raising his hand as if to strike her before pushing her wheelchair away.
