Wolfpack looks to end slide in make-up game with Fairfield

Posted by on Tue, Feb 1, 2011 at 1:23 AM

N.C. State will play a rare February non-conference women’s basketball game tonight at Reynolds Coliseum, and the Wolfpack is sorely in need of a win.

Kellie Harper’s club (9-12) will carry a five-game losing streak into tonight’s contest with Fairfield (14-6), which is making a run at the top of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

The Wolfpack leads the series with the Stags 2-0, and considering the way it has been playing in recent games against Top 25 opposition, should be a solid favorite.

The game had originally been scheduled for Dec. 28, but Fairfield was unable to get out of the Northeast because of a severe winter storm.
