Bryan was one of three Triangle-area players named to the first unit, joined by teammate Nate Irving at linebacker and UNC’s Quinton Coples at defensive tackle.

The three Triangle schools had six players named to the second team, five of them on the offensive side of the ball. Those honorees include N.C. State quarterback Russell Wilson and wideout Owen Spencer; Duke wideout Conner Vernon and kicker Will Snyderwine; and UNC offensive guard Jonathan Cooper and linebacker Bruce Carter.

Area players on the honorable mention list are UNC quarterback T.J. Yates, running back Johnny White, wideout Dwight Jones and kicker Casey Barth; N.C. State offensive tackle Jake Vermiglio and defensive tackle J.R. Sweezy; and Duke tight end Cooper Helfet and linebacker Abraham Kromah.
