Duke gave a valiant effort on the road at Maryland on Saturday night, but it wasn’t enough to avoid stretching the Blue Devils’ losing streak to four games.

Duke (1-4, 0-2 ACC) led 9-0 on the strength of Will Snyderwine field goals on each of its first three drives before Maryland began its comeback.
The Terps led 21-9 following Danny O’Brien’s 71-yard bomb to Da’Rel Scott with 13:48 to go.
The Blue Devils finished the scoring on a two-yard pass from Sean Renfree to Brandon King with 7:20 left, but couldn’t get the ball into the end zone again.
O’Brien completed nine of 26 passes for 170 yards.
Renfree led the Blue Devils by completing 28 of 56 passes for 351 yards and a touchdown, but was intercepted two times. Donovan Varner caught eight passes for 128 yards while Conner Vernon had six catches for 99 yards.
