Mudcats score two in 10th to top host Huntsville

Brandon Yarbrough singled home the go-ahead run and then scored the insurance run in the extra inning, helping the Carolina Mudcats break their two-game slide with a 10-9 road victory over the Huntsville Stars in 10 innings.

Eric Eymann led the Mudcats with a triple and two singles for four RBI, while Dave Sappelt added a double and a single and scored three runs.

Brad Boxberger (1-1) was the winning pitcher while Federico Baez added his fourth save. Jim Henderson (4-4) took the loss.

Taylor Green had a grand slam for Huntsville in the sixth inning.

Mudcats at Huntsville, 8 p.m.

Scott Carroll (R, 3-6, 3.07) vs. Andre Lamontagne (R, 3-0, 2.76)
