A public spanking for St. Aug's

St. Augustine College in Raleigh failed to monitor athletes' grade-point averages, to certify transfers and to crosscheck participation information, among other violations, over the past five years. The News & Observer has a well-written story about the NCAA penalties today. 

The school, which plays in the CIAA, was fined $2,500, was placed on probation for three years and forfeits 10 percent of its scholarship money in seven sports through 2011.
