The Senate Finance Committee will hear state Sen. David Hoyle's anti-municipal broadband bill S1209 Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Room 544 of the Legislative Office Building.

If you can't make it to the legislature, you can listen to the proceedings online.

Triangle legislators on the committee include: Sens. Bob Atwater, Ellie Kinnaird, Floyd McKissick, Dan Blue, Josh Stein, Neal Hunt and Richard Stevens.

Read the Indy's coverage of the issue and the bill which would effectively kill local governments' ability to build their own broadband networks.
